2011 IHC Provider Advisory Council

The IHC Provider Advisory Council (PAC) serves to promote and enhance the work of the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative and its mission by engaging key individuals in the provider community across the spectrum of care.  Representatives include hospitals, physicians, nurses, pharmacy, long term care and performance improvement.  To promote collaboration and reduce barriers to implementation, the PAC functions in an advisory capacity to both the Board of Directors and the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative as a whole.

2011 IHC Community Advisory Council

The purpose of the Community Advisory Council (CAC) is to engage all four healthcare stakeholder groups in a respectful, positive, and fruitful interchange to promote the development, deployment, and execution of a quality-driven, value-based healthcare system in Iowa.  The CAC consists of members representing healthcare providers, business and employers, health insurers, the quality improvement organization, and consumers.

The CAC promotes the four cornerstones of value-driven healthcare:

• Interoperable health information technology
• To measure and publish quality information
• To measure and publish price information
• Incentives to promote quality and efficiency of care

To promote collaboration and reduce barriers to implementation, the CAC functions in an advisory capacity to both the Board of Directors and the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative as a whole.  The CAC relies on the strengths of all stakeholders to deploy aligned strategies with their constituencies to broaden stakeholder and community engagement to improve healthcare.
