EDUCATION

Using best practices and timely, relevant, proven and trusted content, Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) offers providers, healthcare organizations and community stakeholders a variety of robust training and educational programming that includes podcasts, in-person, live and on-demand web-based events.

CONTINUING Medical EDUCATION (CME)

IHC has been reviewed by the Iowa Medical Society and awarded initial provisional accreditation for two years as a provider of CME for physicians. Accreditation in the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) System seeks to assure the medical community and the public that IHC delivers education that is relevant to clinicians' needs, evidence-based, evaluated for its effectiveness, and independent of commercial influence.

The ACCME System employs a rigorous process for evaluating institutions' CME programs according to standards that reflect the values of the educator community and aim to accelerate learning, inspire change, and champion improvement in healthcare. Through participation in accredited CME, clinicians and teams drive improvement in their practice and optimize the care, health, and wellness of their patients.

IHC has been serving the healthcare community in the state of Iowa and the nation since 2004. The purpose of the IHC's Office of Continuing Education is to certify lifelong learning activities for clinicians to improve practice, addressing gaps in quality and patient safety and their outcomes. By receiving this prestigious accreditation, IHC joins a community committed to advancing healthcare quality through lifelong learning with a dedication to rigorous, high quality, and evidence-based education.

NOTE: Registered attendees must be present for the live event in order to receive any available continuing education credits. No continuing education credits will be provided for on-demand events hosted through iCompass Academy (Link).
